It's not abandoned. 1.13.2 came out in January which is why the last BMBF update is two months old. its still heavily in development but it hasn't updated for beat saber 1.13.4, 1.13.5, and 1.14.0 yet. It's been 6 months and we're on update 1.16.4 and there still isn't an update for bmbf.It's possible that the version of BMBF you're using does not work with your version of beat saber.
